I created paper and dust covers for reprints of six books from the Far Memory series by Joan Grant, published by The Dawn Chorus Press. Grant wrote historical novels based on what she considered her past life experiences. She passed away in 1989.

The cover of this book of reminiscences was produced in honor of the late leader of a spiritual community in Portland, Oregon.

The Barfield Press in San Rafael, California hired me to design eight covers for a series of books by Owen Barfield. Barfield was an initial member of the “Inklings” literary discussion group from Oxford, England. He was friends with C. S. Lewis and influenced J. R. R. Tolkien. He passed away in 1997.

Sophia Perennis is a publisher based in California that specializes in philosophical and spiritual books. In recent years I have designed fifteen book covers for their works. These covers had to be designed for both paper and dust cover output.

Translating the author’s design ideas into a finished layout, I prepared a 144 page full color art retrospective autobiography for publication, including cover. The project included scanning, retouching, and color-correcting 260 photographs, and collaborating with the print broker to ensure color accurate printing to the artist’s satisfaction.
